what were you using a log splitter for surely not root pruning?

LOL no the builders were using it for an area on the trench were trees had been removed just old stump roots on that section on the other areas i used silky root pruner and secateurs .:thumbup1:

What size compressor you using with your air spade? Largest I can get locally is 150cfm. Did you purchase your air spade from BTS?

Not to sure what size i will find out for you we hired it from dale hire .I will ask about the airspade also .:thumbup1:

Be mindful when hiring compressors of the potential for contaminating soil with oil.

 

Not knowing the working history & maintenance schedule of a machine could cause you more damage to the rhizosphere than you're trying to alieviate, by the use of it.

If its Dale Hire it'll be 141 cfm thats the largest they have. How did you find that compressor did it produce enough power? I know Sharon at DF Clark used one of their compressors for a demo at Braintree Council and struggled to get enough power out of the machine. What nozzle are you using 150cfm?

Thats a good point - but what can you do except buy your own machine so you know full the history and they dont come cheap for a 165cfm machine.

I will have to find out bit new to this:blushing: .The compressor i used was ok for the job but this was only around a trench .:001_smile:
