Yeah mine is like that but that's because the gears aren't 1st 2nd 3rd its 1st 2nd 4th in low then 3rd 5th 6th high. From what I know the dexta/super dextas were known for being quite fast for their time and I mine seems to be no exception as it will if thrashed keep up with a modern 40k new holland.

Dexta's are super-fast! I was screaming down the road on ours and the exhaust shot out and landed in my lap... frightened the bloody life out of me and nearly burned a hole in my crotch...

The trick used to be that when you were going flat out,reach forward and pull off the air pre cleaner, and then it would go even faster.

As you have the oportunity to get it,then go for it,once sorted it will run forever.
