It depends on the motor but yes, I would, I have done it and got away with it several times.

 

As Huck said it’s a calculated risk.

Anyway back on Subject!!!!!!

 

I really can`t see the point in trying to use old clapped out WW2 machinery when there is gear out there for same sort of money and far better and comfortable to use. Driving one of these all day would put you in a nut house i think!!!

 

You can`t beat a nice cab and a heater or air con.

 

This sort of machine should be in a museum or the nettles IMO

The best thing I remember about them is having to get your co driver to help you get the bloody things on to full lock when doing a ten point turn

bit like driving a MF135 with a loader on !!!

 

with these you had the added bonus of near tipping over when you had a wheelbarrow of soil in the bucket
