Exenco chipper, 35hp diesel, ford engine.. Value??

A friend of mine has a exenco chipper for sale, hes had it for years, hes now got a gandini shredder, im aware they are heavy buggers ..

 

asuming it runes etc (we will find out tommorow)

 

how much is it worth...??

really old i believe as not seen one for 20yrs

I would consider whether it was HSE compliant if you have staff

also issues re parts

I was talking to Chris Cooper Abbs about these yesterday, IIRC they are gravity fed. I have a set of blades for one if your interested, had my last one nicked 15 years ago.

 

With regard to price I would say the only bit worth anything is the engine. You could keep it for memorabilia.

Got one of these that still runs, haven't started it for a while though, might be interested interested in the blades incase of a future restoration project for the right price?

I remember getting leaflets for these through the post some 25 years ago from Jim Wilkie, Wilkie Recycling became the Schiesling importer and rebranded those into "Premier Woodchippers"!. By todays standards, they were evil! Worked though....almost as bad as the "chuck and duck" machines marketed by Gibb's.
