Logging the Redwoods back in the Good Old Days

We have a dead redwood to take down . Don't know what it died from but i guess its just a young one as its only 8 to 10 feet at the fat end !

 

We did 1 last year that had died from honey fungus, we used a large cram to dismantle it, I put some pics on here last year when we did it. It was a great experience.

Not looked under the bark yet but it could well be honey fungus >

Like the comment quote about global warming potentially being good for more redwoods.

 

Although, they seem to need a certain amount of moisture and other conditions to reproduce. Because I know they can be planted and survive in like southern Oregon which reaches 100F several times each summer.
