I would laugh at them for wanting a stupid nonsensical ticket and not bother

So you know how to correctly white line pitches to competition specs?

This is actually something where some proof of competency is probably desirable. Get some numpty to white line a pitch from scratch and it's all over the place - I've seen it at one of our fairly local clubs!

I suppose I connot help but be contrary.

Stuff the course.

Assist a local groundsman, download the pitch marking specs, I did.

Then, practise practise practise.

Perhaps not as easy as it looks but not difficult either.

Especially if only re-marking.

Striking out is a trifle more tricky but 3-4-5 sets a right angled corner, really need a 100m tape and an assistent and ideally a fine line, we use electric fence wire because it neither stretches nor absorbs water nor rots, and its hi-vis.

Not walking behind the liner is the first skill to master, keep the feet to one side, or waddle like you just **** yourself.

good luck.

PS we now use pressure jet markers with proper lining paint.various makes on the market.
