i have a 5' beach butt to seaver and my 272 with 24" will do it, could i run a bigger bar (28") with full skip

 

and if so dose any one have a bar that you do not need/ want (dont mind paying)

I think you could go up to 28" at a pinch but give the saw plenty of time to cut , don't force it . Keep the chain well sharp . Sorry if I telling what you know already ! :001_smile:

Is it full skip you have? Most available is semi, but if it is full it should run upto 3 foot with that saw. Getting a bar for it at that size is likely to be the expensive part though.

 

If this is a one off, can you not borrow a big saw, or even get someone in to do it for you?
