Summer must be about here...anyone else have any fair weather toys?

I just insured what has become our summer toy this evening for the princely sum of £260.

Roll on a great British summer time, can't wait!

Anyone else have any toys they keep tucked up during the winter & wheel out in the sunshine?

Strictly speaking this wasn't bought as a toy, it was my wife's car, bought kind of as a treat after she recovered from chemo in 2009. When we had sprog no3 it wasn't really practical [!] so I got an x-type estate for her with the intention of selling this.

Evidently that didn't happen, the market was on it's backside, so it has ended up staying, and since I don't really miss what little bit it's worth now, and I couldn't face losing a fortune on what I paid for it [bought from a main dealer with 25k on the clock], it's sort of become our 4th car.... :blushing:

I just bought a set of slightly larger BMW alloys to go on it to make it look a bit more 'manly' now that we're sharing it, need to put 2 tyres on them then they'll go on [my wife was SERIOUSLY pissed when she found out! :blushing::lol:]

Incidentally, if anyone wants these alloys just ask! Bargain price!

Come on then, show us your cars, bikes, camper vans etc!

Now that I like.... great car! They make a fantastic noise...

Especially with a longlife ss sports exhaust!!

Spent 2 years rebuilding it after buying it off the previous owner who hadn't run it in 20 years!

Here's my toy - not just for the summer though, as I use it all year round.

My next door neighbour has about 6 or 7 classic British sports cars including one of those - it's a hell of a sound to hear when your eating your weetabix and he roars off down the lane.

He has an Austin 3000 too which sounds and looks fantastic
