Fair play James.

I don't feel obliged to take on every job.

As soon as '100 foot pop' and 'don't touch my lawn' appeared in the same sentence I would have looked at the bloke funny and walked away.

Outstanding effort on completing the job.

She sure looks real pretty now!:001_tongue:

So, James, how would you score the job now its done.

Out of three, with one point for each of the following

The Job itself

The customer

The financial reward.

Half points are allowed, so I suggest the customer scores .5. Making tea made up for the lawn issue, otherwise it would be zero.

With the financial aspect, half point can go for quick payment even if its not that high. But waiting weeks for low payment, or very low payment scores zero. Only good money paid fast or very good money paid within reasonable timescale scores one point.

And we already know the tree itsefl sucked, and the final result is not special, and you hated it, so anything more than zero is unlikely!!

Cheers mark sure looks like its been topped now probs the best in norfolk

Rupe

The job i wouldnt rate at all cause it sucked

Customer made up for him self transfered all the bill straight after we finished made drinks left house open for loo etc etc

Financial reward not good but its not a loss so cant complain in the end, plus he said he will be getting in contact for it again in 5 years so in the long run quite rewarding

So is that one point for the customer even after the lawn issue?

half point for the finances, (a loss would be zero) fast payment helped but that cant be counted for the finances AND the customer.

So 1.5 out of three, not bad considering!!

As a general rule (someone else told me this rule and its very true) try and only do jobs that score 2 or more, any less is just not worth it, but of course we all get a 1 pointer now and then and they leave you feeling like its all not worth it. So a 1.5 is ok, but I am sure you know in yourself that you could not do 1.5's for very long without losing the plot!
