RECENTLY BOUGHT MYSELF A TIRFOR 1.6TON WINCH, SECOND HAND, VERY GOOD CONDITION BUT NO CABLE. BOUGHT SEPERATELY THE 11.5MM STEEL HAWSER SPECIFICALLY FOR THIS MODEL, ALSO ARRIVED. HERES THE RUB, HOW DO I GET THE CABLE TO FEED THROUGH THE TIRFOR? FIRST TIME IV'E PLAYED WITH ONE, SO NEED ADVICE UNDERSTANDING WHAT LEVER DOES WHAT, CAN ANYONE GUIDE ME THROUGH? MUCH APPRECIATED. :confused1:

You just need the right lever in the right place, the inner lever needs to be pushed into the notch then the cable should slip through, just fiddle around with the levers, you'll get there eventually., Oh make sure your pushing the cable through the right end!:blushing:

Big wide handle at the back

pull it back hard and will allow you to be in free run.

Might be worth someone showing you way to use it and shear pins ect.

Apologies, that wasn't very helpful on the winching front. On the "forum etiquette" side of things however, it is considered bad form to type your posts in caps, it equals shouting in a face to face conversation. I could have told you that first though, rather than posting what I did.
