Got back from the apf, and just made this little puppy up gonna whip it in the morning but thought I would share......

So all whipped up and ready to role, I made one adjustment after a conversation with Drew B this morning as he noticed it was not a locking Brummell which he was right to be extra save I have redone it with a locking Brummell, the whipping is not the neatest but for my first I'm pleased......

dyneema is good for light rigging with my pinto rig, but im still not sure if it needs splicing on like adams or is it ok to use with a carabiner, just worried about the heat and friction

What carabina are you using mate? I'm assuming it's oval because anything else will offset the pinto and will cause to to bend under load! And also the gate opening may be a big factor. If it is oval I am assuming it would be alloy? That is your weak Linc right there, light rigging yes but there not designed for heavy loads! I like the idea of the whoopie direct to the pinto, that way my sling is my weak Linc but still stronger than the carabina and also making it less hardware intensive and neat.

with a larks head would it sit straight or would most of the weight be pulled onto one cheek of the pulley?

As long as sits right, and a spacer in place, there would be no issues.

Under pressure, the pulley would equalize the forces.
