Just wondering if these cone splitters are any good on a 3 tonne mini digger I use a posch 28 tonne horizontal at the moment

I do like the idea of being able to split long lengths , does anyone have any good or bad experience of them ?

I made one for my 1.5 t but doesn't have enough hydraulic power to run it it's nearly there I reckon a 3 ton stands chance still experimenting so will let you know

I reckon if you bought a post hole borer for your 3 toner and put a cone on it it would do the job I used a motor the same as post hole borer not quite got the flow for it think gonna fit it to forwarder and see what happens

There is a post hole bore on the market that has a cone splitter attachment for it - don't know the make of it other than the motor is blue :blushing:

Only thing with using a borer would be that if it is free swinging, you won't be able to start the crack and chase it up like you could with a splitter that uses bucket mounts if that makes sense?

Your on about the auger torque at cheltenham machine, we've got the post auger to go on our telehandler. Great bit of kit, incredible what it'll drag out the hole, and will go through 6inch concrete!
