The saying goes 'there is always someone worse off' we had a break in(Fri 13th) they looked at our chippers & grinders but decided to steal the shredder instead. Plain White lorry, cloned plates & now complete with a £200K Hammel shredder.

The best career choice seems to be theft looking at previous threads.

I have for some time removed easily removeable parts from machinery when not being used and stored them off site.

Chutes and covers mostly that would require a call to the dealers for replacement.

Although I can't do this easily with the HB20 it works for the Greenmech chippers.

Idea,, why not put trackers on all your stock...?

Regards

Ty

You mean not so trusted foreman, sack him

??? He went down with a bad back? If it was a genuine bad back, and he was unable to move properly without searing pain, Id bet the last thing on his mind was picking up a bit of paper with two numbers on it. Not ideal but understandable.

Fake bad back, coz you're away and he thought bugger it, I can't be bothered. Then that's a different story, sack him, totally untrustworthy!

That's bad (to put it mildly) how would they convert a machine like that into money? would be impossible to export surely?

Not impossible, but because we don't or can't think like criminals, we don't see things their way.

Truch went in to the mechanics last week only to find out the engine needs a re-build. New pistons (old ones cracked) rings, injectors, plugs, head gasket, head re-skimmed. $6000 + GST gone. Plus having a week without it.
