Getting paid as a subby

You're asking reasonable question but regarding the trust issue, you're asking them to trust you too and that's a much bigger ask.

They are trusting you with their name and reputation, how do you put a price on that.

 

I just think its a two way street.

I use subbies quite a bit and always pay by bank transfer (or cash) in the evening of the day worked. There have been one or 2 occasions where I have had a slight delay but always paid within 48 hours.

 

Like has been said they are making you money so pay them ASAP. I don't think it is right to make a subbie wait until you have been paid, cashed the cheque etc unless it is for a bug chunk of cash and it has been pre agreed with the subbie.

Ive had o couple of experiences of the old 'i ve not been paid yet so nor can you', not on. your getting someone in to make your job work and your profit,its not fair to get em to finacially underwrite it as well! luckily now i only freelance for good people with good ethics.
