Anybody on here from the York area, meant to be over there around lunchtime and just wondered what the roads are like, we had about 3" of snow last night onto hard packed ice here and its still snowing.

 

Is it worth the hastle, travelling from near the Lake District?:confused1:

i'm not far off York, not really been out of the village yet but it dont look too bad, you will have more probs getting over the tops i think.

Cheers for that, I think I will give it a try with plenty of time to get there, hopefully the Councils will have got their acts together by then, they had n't gritted with us until yesterday, the A65 was an ice rink from Kirkby Lonsdale to Bradford yesterday morning.

Dont know why I was worried about York, could not get further that 15 miles on A65 due to jack knifed lorries etc, forget todays trip i think.

to cold ,cold for the council chaps ? they wont be out for a while

 

Just passed 4 snow ploughs at Settle parked up in a road end, 8 council guys there with nowt to do as its not as though there are any roads blocked round here or anything!!!:coffee::turtle:

Took wife 1 hr to get to work this am instead of 15 mins. Usually council is pretty good here in York but I think they were late up today. Probably just aswell you stayed at home.lol

I've been out today with the Valmet and blade ,i cleaned out 1 speed hump:thumbup1: and nearly went through the window when i hit a raised man hole at 10 mph .
