Bit of laetiporus Sulphureus on Robinia (4th year)

a veteran larch (Uba veteran) reduced and retained due to habitat value and character, which the client was VERY happy about I might add:thumbup:

and a really knarly redwood reduced to alleviate loadings (see compression buckling) roots died on tension side and all weight on compression side, this HAD to be done.

I have just spent the best hour on the phone with one of the wisest men I will ever meet, and received a masterclass in the way so many things work within arb/forestry/academia.

My world has been restored to the calm cool considered self that i truly am, I understand why there are ***** in the universe, why there are some who steal rather than do their own work, not just chainsaws and trucks, but ideas and thoughts, even observations.

I am now feeling so much better about my direction in life, its my own you see, doesnt fit in with anyone else's view, nor path, or thinking, its me, this is my journey.

I offer one last piece of advice to all my friends, do what you do with passion do it to the best of your abilities and be happy, because you are you, and you are unique, you might not be a great speller, or a great climber or a great mathematician, you might not be good at business. That doesn't matter, because what you can do somebody else cannot, we all have our thing, our super power within, you just have to find it and then RUN like the wind with it.

Dont be afraid, don't fear shame or be embarrassed (unless you really ought to!) just be true to yourself and life will see you right in the end, no matter how many times you trip in haste.

be good, be honest, be loyal go well stay well and most important of all read hard my friends, and trust yourself deeply:thumbup1:

The world is full of wonder and discovery, go find your thang:thumbup1:

KARMA and Shear squares are the universal laws, follow them and youll not go far wrong!

Im so frigging happy at the moment, work is hard, but life, life is sweeter than the first draw of birch sap on a spring day:thumbup:

Good to hear you're feeling chipper Tony!

I gather the AA have asked you to deliver a fungi talk at a show (is it the Arb Show?) this year. Sounds like a great opportunity to share your passion and knowledge with an audience...best of luck for that.

Thanks Paul, not happy because of that though, the AA arbfest thing is scaring the hell out of me!

Ive just had a hard time mentaly lately, I take things hard, though you would never know! ha ha ha

I just got some really really solid advice from a genius and wise old soul, a fellow Yoghurt weaver, along with that superb advice and a lot of other Yoghurt weavers offering a lot of encouragement and support of late I finaly feel that i have a kind of family around me.

Life is good for me at least as good as I could ask with humility and dignity rather than greed.:thumbup1:

I know why you're here, Neo. I know what you've been doing... why you hardly sleep, why you live alone, and why night after night, you sit by your computer. You're looking for him. I know because I was once looking for the same thing. And when he found me, he told me I wasn't really looking for him. I was looking for an answer. It's the question that drives us, Neo. It's the question that brought you here. You know the question, just as I did.

love that line
