yeah ill speak to the mechanic tommorow and suggest these to him!! hopefully he will check these simple things before dismantling the head!!

Def check it out. Just seems its overheating too quickly to be the head gasket.

 

IMO opinion if there is no water dissapering from rad or engine and no mayo type oil then my first call would be rad blocked. Would have said thermostat but you said that has been checked, did it get the boiling water treatment to ensure it is working properly.

yeah he said he threw it in a bucket of boiling water and it didnt move! so its had a brand new thermostat! Does it take a long time to overheat if its the head gasket?

It would take longer but there would be oil in water or oil would be a mayo type consistency, or water would just disappear from the rad.

 

Push for all other checks on rad system and fan first. Could save a fortune.
