anybody had experience of them? I know Dave (skyhuck) has one, I'd be interested to hear any feedback on them.

I was going to fit a woodchip system, but the cost is just astronomical, and I have tonnes of waste timber.

Looking at getting a Farm 2000 boiler.

There's plenty of large scale woodchip boilers on the market, google Binder or Vetomat.

I want a boiler that will slowly burn 4 ft long whole logs and cord wood, along with sweepings and rakings.

If your estate wants to sell their chip, talk to Matt (Buzz) on here.

Mine is a bit big really, its 500,000 BTU's or 150 KW hours, I have 16 radiators and live in a very big, very old single glassed house, with almost no insulation.

I burn mostly green wood, fuel it once a day, and can burn 3-4 ton a week when its cold.

My house was very damp when we moved in, I had the boiler going 24/7 for 3 years, now its bone dry and I only get the boiler going when its cold.

I don't have an accumulator tank, but they are very simple.

You just get a large tank, 1000L or 2000L and insulate it with rock wool or the like.

Phwoar. 4-5 tonnes of green wood is over 12000kwh.... Reckon your loosing a lot of that heat Dave...

I will site mine in one of my outbuildings, I'm looking at a 150kw model, but will also heat my workshop and office.

Build a giant Kelly kettle that runs lying down. I have seen a 5 foot long one before that is used for a hot water system, it was awesome. I think it was made out of an old compressor tank with 2 holes cut in each and and a large steel pipe welded in the middle with a chimney coming of the back. Add some plumbing and away you go. Its probably not that simple but I bet its cheep.
