Opinions please:

I was asked to carry out a 5837 survey on a site with outline planning, but no prior tree reports. This followed concerns from a neighbour over their trees. The report found there were no trees to be included in the AIA/TCP! For clarity I showed how this conclusion was reached, ie. rpa of tree the neighbours were worried about.

It didn't take very long and included no trees in the end, so I feel unjust asking for a normal 5837 report price.

What sort of price might you all suggest? Including travel time etc. probably took about 2 or 3 hours.

I know the usual replies of 'what are your overheads etc', I just feel bad charging a minimum fee for such little work!

Thoughts....

Just charge your minimum fee. It's not your problem that there were no trees to include in it. If you were a DJ and were booked to do a wedding, would you reduce your fee just because nobody got up on the dancefloor?

I have no valuable input but great analogy! :001_tongue:
