Party Bonfire

Mornin All,I've been asked to supply firewood for an all night party bonfire - I'm guessing about 10hrs of burning

I'm thinking of supplying 3-4ft lengths of Birch/Oak/Ash cordwood- but not sure how much they will need, the fire will be around 4ft diameter - I reckon about a cord, but if anyone has any other ideas I would welcome the advice!

I am assuming that there will be someone half sensible keeping it going, but I could be wrong!

Cheers

Steve

I do a party fire in the same place about 6 times in the summer , not all nighter but very close

I load the pickup with 4 4ft by 2ft oak logs , then smaller as i get towards the cab, when tipped up the oak is roughly in the center of the fire ,this lasts all night from about 7 oclock there is 3 cube in the pickup

I supplied a cube of quartered mostly Oak and Birch for a 4hr party that used a log burner in the building, a fire pit outside with a further two brazier type burners. All the fires were lit before the party to get a bed of embers established and folks kept the fires going, with the pit and the log burner eating the most fuel. Just under half a cube left at the end.

Charcoal was supplied by James [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A6AfHjUIYv0]Hookway charcoal retort part 2 - YouTube[/ame]
