Evening All,

I am thinking of purchasing an Alaskan Mill, Have any of you used them? also is there a course avliable to show all the ins and outs?

I used to work for a local country park who had one and I used the mini mill alot just not the big version. I have a 066 so have a big enough saw. The primary reason to buy one is for spare time use rather than to earn money with it

It just seems a shame to log all timber I fancy getting creative!

Any hints tips appreciated

Matt

Ps Sorry if this is in the wrong section steve!

Hi John,

I never saw you at APF last year, I think it was just a case of too much to see! I saw you at the AA and had the cash in me pocket but got called back home due to the flooding! I'll have another look at the bunf and website and then come back with more specific questions.

Cheers for your help

Matt

I have one was a good investment. I've got the 36" one and the EZ rails to run it on.

There's no courses that i've seen practice makes perfect. Tomorrow i've got some Corsican Pine being dropped off that i'm going to plank up and make myself some shelves. Although i've still not got through my last lot of Corsican Pine yet.

I brought one a year or so back and had some fun with it, but have yet to find a market for my fantastic burred oak, posts. Worked fine with a 064 and 36'. Simple to use, but takes a while. The drying of the timber seems to be the big issue.
