Edelrid Helmet

hi guys, im looking for my first climbing helmet. iv heard a few bad comments about the petzl sliding around on your head and not sitting properly. what do u think of the edelrid helmet? would u recomend it?

Hi Pete, i've used the Edelrid helmet for a few years now and think its great. Very tough helmet and the adjuster is on the back with tape clamp buck rather than a plastic ratchet type thing like the petzle. It fitsm much better than the petzle and the balance kit is screwed on so it cannot fall out like the petzle.

 

If you want you five years worth out of it, get one. Thats why outdoor ed centres and rope access companies use them.

 

Try it first though and check its comfy, horses for courses and all that.

i have one, not a bad lid but retired as its about 6 years old only replaced it with a petzl becouse thats what was in the shop at the time

Anyone had a look at their folding helmet?! nice idea - would fit lovely in the top of my kit bag! Would get one as a spare if the price was right - I'm forever leaving my Vertex places!
