spraying it during growing season will only kill off the new growth, it wont stop it, spray it in autumn just before senescence, and you will have a much better rate of control.

use glyph at 20l/ha and it will prove effective.

other than that, stem inject.

Spray with glyph in autumn, cut and burn stems in winter.Re-apply glyph twice annually for three years.

I've heard Timbrell does a good job on it.There is another product thats very good but can't

remember the name(Toro 2000 or something like that).

That's the one cheers.A firm i used work for used it on knotweed and giant hogweed on site clearance jobs.

It is expensive though.:thumbup1:

How about steaming the roots and a bug that was introduced to munch as methods I was told work?

It's about 10' x 10' area and needs to be done now to avoid spreading.

To do it now you could mow it fortnightly to keep getting the tops and spray it in autumn. Just spraying it now won't do a thing.

The bug introduced is just as effective as aphids, they are a biological control, but won't kill their host as that would be pointless, they may slow it down in larger numbers, but you will find that it won't hit is as much as you'd like
