That looks ace, but I'd be doubtful you'd get away with towing it like that in the UK for very long

Should be ok, as not any different from a normal turntable trailer surely?

Provided you can properly lock the steering and link the brakes to an overrun.

Providing it is all secure then its perfectly safe and legal

Think about the LGV wagon and drag set up where the drag/trailer uses an A frame

A set up like that is great fun to reverse because it has two pivot points so ends up being reversed as a rigid would be !!

Why not just transport on back of trailer.

Probably easier.

The weight is quite low (650 kgs or so, depending on spec etc) but it's 5.5m long so you'd need quite a big trailer.:001_smile:

Surely it would need brakes if over 750 kgs?

So may be fine if the forwarder was 650 and the dolly less than 100.

It does take a bit of practise to reverse but is very manoeuvrable, if one really struggles a tow ball on the front bumper is a great advantage (have a it of experience manoeuvring very long market stalls with turntables) but in this case, just drive it off:001_cool:

As long as axles on the trailer then can have an overhang as long as mark the over hang with something to make it stand out or other road users following you

Even taking the braking out of the equation, there's no mudguards, non-speed rated tyres, no suspension and a dolly can only be used for recovering of a vehicle to a safe place.

Still looks ace though

I bet the flotation tyres on the forwarder are not rated for road speeds. Does that matter?

It could make the tyres dangerous at top speed I suppose, say 50mph. Would need to know speed rating first.
