Blimey, never knew it was so strong.

Got a good old burn on the side of my arm after digging out a small one last week.

It even blistered.

Need to watch for that in the future.

This stuff is really bad, so good on the reminder. My mate got seriously burned after getting fig sap all up his arms a couple of years ago - huge blisters and bad photosensitisation made things even worse. Ended up being treated as for chemical burns.

I dismantled one in May 2007. My jacket rode up as it was raining and the glove stayed put. I got burned right around my whole wrist, in between the two. I can be so precise on the dates as my oldes boy was born on the 2nd June. The pics of me holding the baba show nasty acid looking burns around my left wrist. Blistered up a treat and when the goo spread if they burst the blister spread. Quite painful.

i have never reacted like this either, maybe its individual alergenic?

the resin does resemble those from sumack and varnish tree and monkey, dont know whats in them all but all them saps is white

You could be right about it being individual allergenic, because I was handling the same fig and didn't have a mark on me. Matey boy who reacted badly is also asthmatic, fair skinned and a ginger, whereas I'm quite dark skinned.
