Bracket on Thuja

I'd appreciate some guidance on this somewhat degraded bracket plus another bracket on the opposite side of the tree, although this one was covered in cement dust. I found these on a Western redcedar. I'm inclined to say Gano but am happy to be corrected.

Could be Fomiposis pinicola, doesn't look right to be Phaeolus schwienitzii (spelling?). I'm sure DaviHamaFung will have a better answer!

I would offer up that it is more often useful than not, to cut a slice out of any bracket so that we can see flesh, & pore layer (strong bladed knife or silky)

probably applanatum, feeding off the dysfunctional wood at the basal wound, somebodies not been playing the BS5837 game some time ago!

 

Got G. probably applanatum on larix decidua today too

you dont see it too often on connies, which tend to be brown rots, but it is common on Larix decidua IME.

Interesting, how problematic would you say it is on larix?

I havent enough occurrences to be certain, but thus far tree vitality sems to counter the decay, the language is a low swell which is appearing to be quite characteristic, but needs a bit more work yet.
