80 stumps to grind out costings advice??

hi all

 

i looked at a job today got 80 stumps to grind out, 10 being about 5inchs, 10 being about 10-15inches and 60 being about 15-25inches. i was thinking about hiring a carlton 7015 as it looks like a beast on the web site. i just thought i would ask for a few views on costings. im not new to tree work or stumpgrinding at all but new to pricing. my first thoughts are 7015 for 3 days. is it asking to much to do just over 25 stumps a day. as its on a golf course they are spread out abit as well.

we did 72 last wed and some were a bit bigger than yours £500

was pretty hard day with 13hp pedestrian danequip.

also was a regular customer or would have asked £600

I just brought a 7015 yesterday it is a beast of a machine. It depends on how deep they require the stumps grinding down to!

i just carnt imagine doing it all with a pedestrian i thought it would takes ages unless the ones i used in the past werent sharp

and i think some may be about 20-35 inches about 15 of them i still carnt get my inches right

Is it in chilwel? If its the job I'm thinking of then It should be quiet a steady little number. We had the job felling and clearing and finished last week.

We have a Vermeer SC60 which is a 60hp tracked machine, it will do a 5" stump in one minute, 10"/15" in 5 mins and a 20" approx 20 mins. It can be towed behind a Land Rover.

 

I guess the time consuming bit is getting between the stumps if they are spread about, the last time we did a job like this we was able to take the Land Rover on site and therefore we could keep putting the grinder back onto the trailer to get it about which saved a lot of time.

Hi I have a Carlton 7015trx 60hp it is a quick machine and you would be suprised how many stumps you can get done in a day, depending on the distance between stumps. I charge £650 a day for local work.
