Manheim auctions, anyone used them?

As the title sys, has anyone ever bought a van from Manheim. I'm interested in on at Haydock this week, but their charges seem a bit vague. If I spend around £8000 on a van, about how much would the charges be?

they are quite dear,bought and old corsa runaround a year ago hammer price was £150 by the time they added buyers premium and vat paid just over £300 :thumbdown:

used to use the one at mansfield a few years ago,

 

can't remember what the scale of charges was but if you go on their website it'll tell you.

 

i seem to remember that if you spend over a certain ammount you'd get a short warrenty, again the website should tell you.

At Manheim we have a two tiered fee structure. We charge different indemnity rates for Motor Traders to Private Buyers.

 

Based on the suggestion that you are looking for a van that will be valued at around £8,000 then you are likely to pay c.£260 + VAT as a motor trader or c.£420 + VAT if you are a private buyer.

 

All our indemnity fees are displayed in each branch and the team at Haydock will be more than happy to talk through the auction process if you have never attended before. They can be contacted on 0844 856 4606.

 

If you've never attended auction before I recommend you attend at least once to get a flavour of what happens. The team will happily walk you through the process.

Some of our vehicles do come with assured status which acts as a warranty against their mechanical soundness. Again the staff at the auction centre can give you more information about the particular vehicle you are looking for, any warranties held against it and what you may be expected to pay in indemnity fees.
