Would you swop your climbing kit for this ?

On most larger hard woods you would need a climber anyway, to remove crossing branches etc.

So its not really replacing a climber.

I would really like one of those grabs, it would speed up dismantles, as I would not need to strop the top of the stems, just "grab and cut", I would also not need a man on the trailer to remove the strop (he could be doing other things, like blowing the site clean)

A C Price have one of these grab's with a saw, I need to borrow it for a job and see how it goes.

Yes, after investing easy £300k I would be still advertising in church magazines for domestic apple tree pruning jobs!!:confused1:

The same sceptics will find a reason not to buy an extended hedge cutter, because they ain't much use for Felling Douglas fir on the borders countryside:001_rolleyes:

He, he you do speak in riddles.

As soon as I read " Due to the delicate nature of the job, only the Intermercato Saw Grapple could be used on this job as lowering branches immediately below the tree was not an option." I thought what a load of total BS and switched off. I cant be doing with type type of crap people push.

As I said on the right job awesome, and it is a great big boys toy:thumbup1: but as for the title of thread, I very much doubt anyone could/would.
