Herbiside Injection best practice

I have received a Stat Notice to remove a considerable number of Larch Trees.

The Neighbouring wood has Phytophthora Ramorum and as a consequence a 100 meter radius round the infection has to be felled or poisoned and a portion of this falls into my wood. This has to be dealt with before the end of April before the Larch start to spore.

I may fell but I would like any information on the best way of killing the standing tree by Ring Barking and the use of Herbiside injection What to use and best practice.?? This would be the quick fix method to comply with the Stat Notice so I may embark on this route before major felling.

Cheers

exactly

what is enough

Having seen aerial photos of this I can see it popping up pretty random and unexpected

Sounds like the secret is immediate destruction

I guess 100m is probably enough but requires 100% compliance

This disease is a bad one and one that makes you wonder on the sense of monoculture of trees

Seems a good point to me :thumbup1:

Not sure if it will help with your situation directly, but recently we have been using ecoplugs for killing stumps. Glysophate injection that is friendly to wildlife etc. Drill the stump around the cambium, species dependent on the number of holes. Insert cap, hit with hammer.

Quick, neat and the customers seem to like the 'Eco' idea.
