I had a turner ask me the other day if i had any monkey puzzel wood for her! so must be quite good also i think it must be quite hard to get hold of

I have 3 to come down, 60ft,40ft,75ft. shame to log them up, however acess is an issue to crane them out.

Cut them between the growth points in foot lengths ! I got £30 a foot for the last biggun i did !

thanks for the info, looking at replanting them. had some horrific prices!!! anyone know of a good supplier

Save the wood around the branch unions I.e don't cut through them! I sold some that we're 18" wide and 8-10" thick for £7.50 per log! Went on eBay. I managed to post some down south!

Be prepared for more work needed to shift rings bigger than ~16" trunk diameter: not many turners have a lathe big enough to handle the weight. Also when it comes to the smaller stuff (~12" or less) it's worth logging up between every other ring of knots so you leave the option of a tall vase being turned. Less cutting for you too of course.
