nail guns and cold conditions

Paslode do supply a cold weather gas cartridge for the im350, it make them work better in the cold. Problem is getting hold of them, not many suppliers stock them.

I just bought the new im90 which works down to -20 due thanks to a new gas injection system. put about 10,000 nails through it this week ( closeboard fencing ) not one problem. Very happy. Gun is much better balanced too which helps with operator fatigue.

Hi Woodplans.

Why did you choose the IM90?

Thanks.

Paslode are great tools I use 1st & 2nd fix not regular these days but often.

Trouble we get then is cartridge part used still plenty of gas in it but plays up, put that down to the bladder inside. And gas being out of date is another problem especially if not used regular, I keep two gas cans on the go when its cold one in my pocket the other in the gun and change them around. plenty of out of date cans on ebay you take your chance. Paslode are out to make money and a long life gas can would cost them millions (look how many are part used and disposed of on any building site)

Easy guns to service and keep clean, they last years
