Morning all,

I'm having a few issues with my top handled saw today. One minute the chain is too tight (won't go round) so i adjusted it, and the next it is almost falling off the saw due to being too loose. I've checked the tensioner and that's fine, nose sprocket fine, chain and bar fine.......I'm confused.

Adjuster is an inch behind the front handle mount next to the clutch side cover - clockwise for greater flow, if oil is not pumping, take the clutch and sprocket off, take of the back cover three t27 screws and remove the two part cover, remove the pump (2 screws) and clean it out.

On my "Whats on my bench" thread, I had one this weekend - the pump was plugged and it came out like a little turd when I put a bit of air down the other side and rotated the pump shaft - if it is plugged, pull out the feed tube and clean this, drain the oil and flush through with some fuel. Should be good for a long time then.
