  1. it also could be the main chain drive sprocket(behind to clutch), if its worn badly they can make the chain slack then tight.
  2. The idea of a primer/air purge is to fill the carb with fuel to make starting easier! At the moment as you purge the air from the carb as you pull the starter cord, therefore saving you a couple of pulls.
  3. stihl make chains to fit all sizes, so you can get stihl branded chain to go on huskys
  4. Some of the late walbro carbs fitted to the 357xp do suffer with problems with a part called "pump piston". This part is located under the throttle shaft and cannot be replaced! The replacement carbs are of the zama brand and doesn't seem to suffer with the problem as yet.
  5. Hi, its looks like you have a clutch problem? I would suggest that you have a look at the clutch springs, 1 or more springs may have worn or broke.
