Had a crane on site to remove some big butts, cutting final section from the ground, (step cut) crane drive put tension on before i had finished and the section broke of and jammed my head between the lorry and the butt, lots of blood and the driver screamed "hes dead"..... i had just offerd my helmet to the crane driver who had forgot his.....fortunately he said no. was quite a impact! i got a shinny new helmet now thou:thumbup: Lessons learnt a) Be more accretive with crane operatiors b) live to the full you never know:

Firstly glad to hear you are ok, and thanks for posting as it should help others to avoid the same happening to them.

I used to work with mobile cranes both UK Brazil etc, some drivers gave me the creeps, should have refused to work with them but saying that all the overseas drivers were good, no common lingo but felt safe working with them.

I have had incidents when I have felt life is fragile, worry about my son going into the business.
