Call from the Police this afternoon

Not very nice for you and a riot van is very OTT.

But I do feel sorry for the other person, they were no doubt certain that it was their chipper and looking forward to getting it back, I bet they're having an even worse day than you.

I do feel sorry for anyone having their gear nicked but shouldn't have said 100% sure and then not be right! Prob because they said they were 100% is why the riot van was there....

But nice to hear the police are following up leads like this.

Don't tar the police with the same brush as we had two 190's pinched a few years ago, early hours of the morning all caught on cctv, hot wired a tarmac lorry chained the first one on drove out straight through the fence and back within 12 mins and had the second one. The lorry was found near the local gipsy camp, a few months later a police patrol in Porth in the Rhondda noticed a chipper in a front garden of a house, thought it was a bit odd did a few checks and we had it back, so the police were good in this case.

I agree with the police chasing up leads however in this case I disagreed with the manner in which they conducted themselves! I offered them the opportunity to come to my family home to check the chipper and my paperwork!

I would understand if I had previous or was on a known travelling folk site but I am far from it !!

But it's beyond me how someone can identify a chipper from one photo and say it's 100% there's when it's no different to any other!!

But yes I do feel sorry for them having one stolen

My number1 just made the comment that the model in question was in a line up and postive ID was confirmed.
