Here are a couple of recent carvings for Nottingham city council.

 

the two faces are in Vernon Park and are 'old father time' and ' Mother nature'.

 

The Owl is in Queens Walk Park and overlooks the community art centre sited there.

Yes ditto, I like the faces too. It's a pity they didn't leave you a bit more to work with. Was it an after thought once the tree was taken down?

yes the stump with the faces was a reserve one , as the one originally planned to be used was much taller but turned out to have too high a level of rott.
