Old Mill, then this video is for you.

Haha! That's funny Gordon and I'm sure Paul Cox will chuckle too because we all know that there's more than one way to do a redirect.

However, you're point is a valid one and will defiantly appeal to some.

I've always set static redirects by clove hitching my rope to the branch therefore your video technique has no advantage to me.

However, in future I'm now going to be climbing on a lowerable base anchor so floating redirects are essential otherwise the system is not lowerable, therefore you're video technique becomes advantageous.

I particularly like the attachment point for the chest harness thingy.

PS: my Hitch Hiker has not worn out yet. Lol!

I saw a vid where you added your OAR to a Hitchhiker, how well did it work and do you sell the OAR bit for that application?

That video of the HH mod was a proof of concept only, and would not advance well.

There is a vigorous discussion about my working design of the Compact Bulldog Bone at

Treebuzz.com, under the catagory "stationary rope technique"

I was thinking after I posted that, why would I want a HH add on when the whole OAR looks great. Do you sell them to the uk?

I do, but I am currently back ordered (the corrosion resistant links are the bottleneck)

I am awaiting word from my vendor and have tried to contact the manufacture and am awaiting their response also.

I have made a small improvement to the OAR design. As you see the arms now provide support to the friction links. The snap swivel links would be installed also, as in the Bulldog Bone, but this picture shows the way the links are supported. The OAR is suitable for DdRT on Tachyon and is intended to be tended by pulling line through from below.
