How do you secure them John? do they drop into a pit and then you wedge them? This is my first year not putting up the Christmas trees in Northampton they usual have 6 trees, 5 x 35ft and 1 x 40ft. I've put them up for the last 19 years. :001_smile:

How do you secure them John? QUOTE]

The two big ones drop into a large socket, get packed with wood and held with steel cables. The smaller ones go into Oak logs and secured with wire-rope.

I thought I was an old hand at 9 years !

We had to do that last week.

Why do LA's think that putting up trees is a job for its tree surgeons? :confused1:

Gardeners plant things, we cut them down.
