App Store - Clinometer - level and slope finder

 

Don't blame me if it's dog poo though

 

It's dog poo! Great for measuring slope/angle of surfaces (walls etc), but no good for aiming at the top of a tree

I love wintertreeID, have the normal one too but I've learnt much more from the winter one. Starting to bore people now by identifying trees in winter......

For determining tree height, I recommend one of these (for iPhone):

 

How High or Far for iPhone, iPod touch (4th generation), iPad 2 Wi-Fi and iPad 2 Wi-Fi + 3G on the iTunes App Store

 

App Store - seeLevel - visual clinometer

 

Both use the camera for aiming. A lot easier than sighting down the edge of the phone as you have to do using other clinometer apps.

 

Mmmm is the first one better/easier to use .

 

£1.99 against 69p we might be in recession you know.

It contains quite a few knots useful for climbing and rigging.

 

Not free, though, like the website with the same knots http://www.animatedknots.com/

The tree id one (treestree) is pants though maybe just cos its the free version:thumbdown:
