Trying to get sorted for pesticide use. Have got my head round the PA1 & 6 (with or without water proximity). The area I'm not so sure on is what covers the stem injection systems for jap Knotweed etc. Ponters most welcome.:001_smile:

Hi TD, PA1 & PA6A which i assume is the ones you have booked covers foundation pesticide and hand held applicators. Although you will probably only use a Knapsack sprayer i have always assumed that this would cover you for stem injection , hatchet , paintbrush, weedwiper etc as these after all are hand held applicators.

Most companies you come across will be delighted to see these tickets anyway . :001_smile:

PA6D - apparatus requiring minimal calibration. I think technically this is the 'bolt on' to a PA6A that you require. Although I doubt anyone would pick up on this as the PA6a covers most of this and you don,t normally do a PA6D without first doing a PA6a first. It's similar to the PA6aw that you,d do as a bolt on for the watery bits.

What is the score regarding PA1 & PA6, does everyone require them by law or are there 'grandfathers rights', think the terminology is right, like driving 3500-7500 tonne trucks and towing trailers before or after certain test dates?

Hope that makes sense?

Chris
