we had been deadwooding in "nonsuch park" near kingston-upon thames all week..last job, this old piece of deadwood....although it had slight growth in it,s crown, asked to bring it down to a safe height. hollow from tip to toe and next to a woodland walk. full of intersting swirls and cavities.it must have been a fine tree during it,s life. left a tall trunk for insects, birds etc... and kept a branch for carving.
