Has anyoneone used the 12/13 clutch with Yale Imori? As I tried it today and it was quite a bit smoother than the 11/12 clutch.

I have the 12/23 in all the time and use it on poison ivy and xtc, easier to do that than have to change clutches all the time!

 

Find it a lot smoother on the PI with the 12/13

Maybe I should rephrase. The rope Im using is 11.7 mm so I used the 11/12 mm clutch and sometimes it was arkward to move so I tried the 12/13 mm clutch and I found it alot smoother so I wondered if anyone else does this ( use a larger than needed clutch) and if they do have they come across any problems.

 

Also I was wondering what rope other people use?

if you use a 12 13 clutch with any thing less than 13 mm rope its wil not last long ,will end up slipping sooner

Yeah thats the downside less margin for error. Its amazingly effortless when you use it this way especially with a rope guide.
