Picnic bench ideas?

Thats what im planning, never done one before so just looking for a rough idea although like you say, just let the wood dictate :thumbup:

 

that's it, interesting grain, features in the wood that you can accentuate with a flapdisk/arbortech grinder.. I think the key to great furniture is something you love when it's finished, even if everyone else hates it !

Tables with attached benches are a personal hate (not wishing to offend).. i consider then heightist because at 6' 8" I can never get my knees under there!

 

build it higher,,,I was building my benches to an order, using there cedar tree,so as they where for kids,,they needed to conform,

Ive done loads of bespoke one offs,,there my favourite,,,:001_tt2:
