Advice / experiences on moving business (relocating)

Hi all looking for advice or anyone with experience of moving thier business, at present I live and work in Lancashire and have done for 10 years, We have decided to move down south ( iam originally from canterbury kent) apart from all the concerns i.e schools house was wondering if anybody has upped sticks and made ago of it somewhere else.

Remember when you first started your business? well its time to do it again unfortunately, the only thing you got going for you is you will have all the equipment built up so no need to worry there. Just a case of getting your name around and advertising to build up a client base.

how far are you wanting to move?

is it possible to keep your better existing customers whilst you establish yourself in the new area?

it took me about 18 months but i only moved 20 miles.

I did it a couple of years ago, moved from Oxford to Chesterfield. It ain't easy leaving an existing business that makes you a living, find yourself Subbie work, get to know as many people as you can, takes the burden off finding your own work. It builds up slowly. Good luck
