Help me with your quitting smoking success stories!

I stopped when I was 31 and stayed off them till this year when I started again, I had smoked when in the pub a few times but other than that I had gone 6 years without. I am now 24hours into stopping again.

 

I have tried several times to stop this year and always end up cadging fags off Andrew who works for me. I am banning smoking at work so this time I might have a chance.

I gave up a couple of years ago and was amazed how much you will try and kid yourself into letting yourself have another, it is a chemical and psychological addiction after all. Good luck, it will get easier.

How's the quitting smoking going? I gave up too at new year.... It's a real struggle but I do feel the difference already.

I quit bak in June 2011 I think, can't really remember now the exact date, and would say It was quite easy. I convinced myself it was a dirty, filthy habit. And that I didn't want to smell of stale fags all the time. it seemed to have worked for me, I did take Champix for a period of time, but I believe it was mainly down to will power. I certainly don't get the urge or desire to smoke these days.
