Since u know your stuff on the ms200's i wondered what ur opinion on the 201 is, we dont like it and think it lacks power, is slow to pick up, and generally a bit weedy, just wondered what ur expert opinion is???

I have not had the chance to play with the new saw, all I can say is that personally I never by the first of anything as it avoids all the teething troubles.

The MS200T has had a few niggles over the years but if the carb lost the accelerator pump, the area around the exhaust on the back and bottom of the clutch cover was strengthened/improved and the exhaust was made to protrude from the side cover so it didn't melt it, it would be perfect:thumbup:

I believe many have solved the poor pickup of the MS201 by richening up the L screw slightly to resolve the issue. Unfortunately the EPA laws in the US have made all manufacturers tune their two stroke engines on the lean side which is great for the environment but not so good for the engine.

So, sorry - no feedback on the 201 yet

Thanks for replying , very informative, and will hope to hear ur feedback on it in the future

No worries - I like my Huskys, got some Nordic blood in me somewhere but got to admit the MS200T is the best top handled saw out there and they are easy to work on once you have had one apart - take a lot of abuse!

All the best for the New Year.
