Had a cook up today at a mates woodland - we were cross cutting some previously felled Sycamore and Ash, Then had a little campfire cooking sesion!!

Bacon, snags and a nice hot brew (or three!) :thumbup1:

 

loving this my man! me and my bro always have a hot lunch when logging or in the woods :)

Ben you have trumped me there mate with the homemade oven/stove contraption!!!

Love it!!

You just cannot beat a steaming hot brew and a bacon sarnie!!

 

ha ha its just an old greese bucket, 3 air holes in the bottom and an old spring tine on top!! ha ha!!

 

got a few more pics bear with me! your right there mate, a brew and warm food really keeps spirits up :):thumbup1::thumbup1::thumbup1::

Loved the open fire today - but it does mean you have to make good afterwards and put it out properly.

 

Your contraption looks like all the ash is contained inside the bucket?

 

yeah all the ash stays inside, we just empty it out next day before lighting again :)

first picture is chunk chicken soap home made

 

second picture is homemade burgers :)

 

3rd sausages cooking direct on the hot coals :)

 

and double stove action in the 3rd picture as dad was with us :)
