what do you mean ash isnt like this????

Olive ash is IDENTICAL to that piece of wood- grain coarseness, 3 colour bands from dark to light, the heartwood in walnut us more defined compared to the sapwood, you dont tend to get that third colour, and the chopping board's grain even has the characteristic stripes of dark and light too.
