I wondered if someone could point me in the right direction, I am selling my Ifor trailer which i brought brand new two years ago with VAT obviously, Now when I sell it do i add VAT to the price or not? Im not VAT registered. any help would be appriciated. Thanks

if not vat registered you cant ad vat on:biggrin::biggrin:

OK thanks, seems annoying tho as the VAT (£403 in this case) I paid I won't ever see again so esentially I brought a trailer and now im selling it, who ever buys it will be getting an almost new trailer without having to pay the VAT on it.

Bollocks, just add £403 (or however much you want) to how much you think it's worth. You're allowed to charge as much as you like as long as you don't call it vat.:confused1:

But if your selling it to a VAT registered Co, they won't want to pay the extra, they would be better buying from another VAT reg Co.

They'd have to be pretty pants at business to not know the value of something they are buying.
